Local Ownership and Control
South Dakota Wheat Growers is governed by an 20-member board of active producers. Directors are elected from geographic districts as defined by county lines but represent the entire membership.  In addition, 56 producers also serve as delegates, with three delegates per director. Delegates serve as liaisons between the full membership and the Board and Management, helping facilitate input into the cooperative’s direction. Delegates are also elected by districts and serve three-year terms.
